Arrival and training
November 16, 2022
Captain Chris Nolan
Cramer has arrived in St Croix after an excellent professional training cruise from Rockland to the Virgin Islands.
Today, we anchored in Fredericksted, on the west end of St Croix, and continued with our ships maintenance and training. Retired Coast Guard Chief Boatswain Mate Josh was our third mate for this voyage and spent many hours in the small boat today certifying new coxswains in preparation for the upcoming Caribbean Reef Program.
This 1800 miles voyage was accomplished in a little less than 2 weeks, featured a gale, over 40 training topics, and a great crew of 28 teachers and learners.
We'll spend a couple days here (including some recreation time) before heading to Christiansted Friday to end the voyage.
