Today was field day! On field days we divide up by watch group and clean the ship. But what makes it so awesome is music! Each group can play music and everyone gets to sing along while we clean. I also love field day because we get some candy.
Group Picture at Palmyra Atoll (Nate on rope, on left: Skyler, Ben, me with the white top, Murph in the back, Hilary, Eban behind Meriel's head, Emily behind Eban's head, Jen on the right, Meriel taking the pic)
Being in A Watch, we get to clean the galley every field day and stay on deck while we wash the pots and pans. Audrey, Emily, Miaja, and I scrubbed the pans with soap water.
Charlie washed them off with the hose and Meriel organized everything on the deck (because the ship is still rocking we don't want to lose the bowls overboard). Hilary, Sebastian, and Kevo stayed in the galley giving everything a deep clean.
However, todays took longer than usual because a bird (booby) pooped on Meriel's face and the stack on clean pans/ through the strainer holding all our small miscellaneous kitchen stuff.
So we had so start over R.I.P. but still fun! As I am writing this Charlie told me to give him a shout out of his singing skills lol. Today the sun was out and no squalls! We have also passed through the ITCZ so hopefully more sunny days ahead of us! ?
P.S. Hi mom! Hi Ryan! We are on the way back to Hawaii and I can't wait to see y'all!! I have so many pictures and stories to tell!! <3
