Gorgeous day with blue skies and a varied light breeze
Hello there blog readers, wish you were all here sharing this experience with us. We’ve had an incredible day! Last night my fellow C watchers and I were on deck from 18:00 (7pm) until 01:00 (1am). How awesome is that?! My day began with seeing the moon and stars, the sunrise, and three gimbaled tables full of sleepy smiles come breakfast time. A few weird boat dreams later, and our next watch began!
We swept the deck in rhythm to the song “What do you do with a drunken sailor?”, WENT SWIMMING in our very own pool (the open Pacific ocean), SAW DOLPHINS, and gybed a couple times until the wind seemingly disappeared for a bit. (“Hello Lake Pacific,” Neil from A watch said as he got on deck.) Thankfully A watch has now found the wind and we’re sailing along at 6 knots.
This is becoming an experience that’s difficult to be put into words. All I can say is that I’m very grateful to be here.
Cheers,
June Helen
