To help make things easier for you here at SEA, we have made this Crew Resources page home to anything you might need while here as crew. This includes:

  • Employment
  • Crew Portal – Helm: Cloud-based software Helm is home to all your crew paperwork to fill out as soon as possible, as well as resources to help you understand more about our ships and programs, including:
    • Sea service form, drug test letter and reimbursement, manuals, SMS, packing lists, and other training resources

Do not hesitate to reach out to any of us here at the marine department with questions, or email [email protected] to reach all of us. Thank you!

Employment at SEA

Throughout the course of the year, SEA hires about 160 people to fill positions onboard SEA’s two vessels. Crew members usually stay on board for two consecutive programs, or one coupled with short voyages or a yard period. Most crew members return year after year. Many are alumni of SEA, but this is not a prerequisite for working onboard.

Visit our Employment page for information on how to apply.

Crew Portal: Helm

SEA uses Helm a cloud-based software for all hiring paperwork and training resources to better assist oncoming crew with expectations while onboard SEA vessels and in program. Included in Helm is more information regarding the breadth of SEA programs and how to best prepare for your program. There are also great resources about the boat that will help you learn more about our ships and the programs we run to give you an idea of what to expect and how to prepare.

Below are two documents designed to better assist you in navigating Helm.
