SEA’s Dr. Kara Lavender Law to testify on Capitol Hill

Dr. Kara Lavender Law, SEA Research Professor of Oceanography, will testify about ocean plastics pollution before the U.S. Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works on Wednesday, Sept. 26th, beginning at 10 am.
The purpose of the hearing is to examine how to reduce the impact of marine debris on the environment, wildlife, and human health.
The hearing may be broadcast on C-Span and will be live-streamed on the Committee’s website. Video of the hearing, along with a link to Dr. Law’s written testimony, will be archived on the Committee website.
