Today was a very different type of day, much more relaxing. We did not have too much wind but still got enough done, especially in the science field, In my watch (C watch) we deployed pretty much all of our science equipment giving us a lot to process, record, and stow away.

Through the day we approached Maine, where we are now anchored. The shore is beautiful. Since we are anchored our watches are changing to smaller two hour anchor watches which will give us extra time for rest and projects.

One report presentation during class by Xavier, Ruben, and Olivia talking about details of the water around us in graphs like Salinity

Speaking of these group projects which we are working on today and tomorrow are based off of certain types of information, for example deep sea sediment samples gathered with the Shipek Grab.  We present our results tomorrow during afternoon Ship’s Meeting.
