Hi all, my name’s Tim, and I’m here to tell you about my day. I started my day off at 0600 with a hearty breakfast of English muffins, cheesy eggs and bacon. I then proceeded to hurl my entire breakfast over the side of the boat ten minutes before watch started, so all in all, a pretty normal start to my day. Today was watch officer turnover day, but since we were the first watch to start the turnover, and the other watch officers needed rest, the aft cabin, which consists of our Captain Sean, our Chief Scientist Jeff, and MS Faculty MJ, were our watch officers during the morning. This is an exciting time to be on watch, as Sean loves setting sails when he’s on deck. We also had AHH, or Atlantic History Hour this Morning, where we wrote messages in a bottle, and threw them into the ocean. Hopefully someone finds them. Sean says his usually have around a 20% chance to be found, so fingers crossed.

The rest of watch was filled with striking sails and double Gybing for science, then gybing and setting sails afterwards. After that, there was a hearty lunch of grilled cheese and tomato soup, and then a quick nap before class. After class, me and Cian had an extensive game of spit to prepare for the upcoming tourney, then I went on deck for a little bit to admire the sunset, and then moonlight, in addition to a bit of reading, then some characteristically spirited conversations with Shuggy on what he considers to be “Slop” movies.

After a dinner of peanut noodles and chicken, I’m writing my blog, and then am going to go discuss with Shelby, the Head Steward, what I plan on making for my assistant steward day tomorrow. So that was my day on the Corwith Cramer, here’s to hoping for another good day tomorrow.
