All good things must come to an end and thankfully the same is true for bad things! The bad thing I’m referring to is good ole sea sickness. To start off the day I along with a handful of others were feeling the seas greatly, if you know what I mean (I mean sea sick). Due to the wind blowing from where we wanted to go to anchor in Culebra we had to motor.

This only added to the queasiness we were already experiencing. After what felt like days we finally made it to anchor by late afternoon. Seeing the glorious land that is Culebra meant one thing, the boat would stop moving! I took a much needed nap that replenished me and woke up to some delicious chocolate cake snack for Isabelle’s birthday. The rest of our afternoon consisted of starting and finishing out posters for Monday morning.  We all took a nice break to have a swim call before sunset to cool down and step back from the business of our day.

Then right back to poster making! Many worked into the late hours of the night creating beautiful visuals to explain their research topic of choice on this trip. Shout-out to Blake for creating a beautiful poster, which she was up until 4am making. For dinner we had some delicious pizza and took in the night sky and breeze on deck while we ate. As we end our program I’ve done a lot of reflecting and am grateful for all I’ve learned about dialing, science, life, and myself on this journey.

Shout-out to the fam, I can’t wait to see you all soon! Happy Hanukkah to Sophie and Gabi! Hope finals week is going well Josh, can’t wait for adventures with you soon, love and miss you like crazy! Love to all my other friends and family as well and happy holidays to everyone reading this!
