Transformational Learning at Sea

SEA works collaboratively with institutions and organizations to design custom programs that combine seamanship, scientific research, and leadership development aboard our tall ships.

Our SSV (Sailing School Vessel) designation means every person aboard has a role and responsibilities as a member of our crew. Participants will learn traditional seamanship, navigate by both modern and celestial methods, and contribute to ongoing research—all while building confidence, teamwork, and leadership skills that can’t be developed in a traditional classroom.

Programs run a minimum of 7 days, with most ranging from 10 days to several weeks, allowing sufficient time for participants to develop real competency and experience the full rhythm of life at sea.
