Weather and sail plan: The weather was super nice all day we had clear skies all day the wind was blowing from the East Southeast we are sailing with the 3 lowers plus the main engine. This was to move away for a storm that is behind us.
As of yesterday, we made it to the Sargasso Sea!
Today was pretty fun. I got to skip my watch to be an assistant chef. We made some good food for breakfast: pancakes with chocolate chips, blueberries, or plain and a side of sausages and some fruit. For lunch we made mac and cheese (homemade, no boxed stuff on the Cramer) that was really good also with a side of fruit.

After lunch I got a break from being the assistant chef and I got to do an oil change with the ship’s engineers. I learned how the process of an oil change can be difficult on a ship when it is rocking back and forth. It would be much easier on still land. So far I have helped with two oil changes: one on the main engine on October 14th and one for the main generator on October 16th. Both times the engine room was really hot I was sweating most of the time.
After the Main generator oil change I got to take a nice deck shower then I got right back to work as an assistant chef making steak and potatoes for dinner with a side salad which everyone liked.

PS – Mom, Dad, Levi, I miss you guys a lot. I haven’t gotten seasick yet! I have learned a lot about how to sail. We had one rough night so far, otherwise the seas have been smooth. Can’t wait to see you guys at Proctor and tell you some stories about our trip.
