Hiiii!!! Today is a very special day for me to be writing this blog because it is my 17^th Birthday Which is also the Boat’s Birthday which is so cool!! Let me give you a rundown of today. So it really started yesterday the 24^th on my 7pm to 1am watch; the first 5 hours really chill: I went on Lookout, did a Boat check, a normal watch, then right after our Neuston Net (science), we wake up Cap for instructions at 11:50, 10mis till I turn 17, and our instructions is to Strike (take down) the Raffee, raise the JT, and set the Main. So we strike the Raffee, and I go out on the Head rig to take off the sail ties and all of a sudden I hear Ila (Deckhand/PA) Yell “HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOLLY” right at midnight!!!! So that was amazing!!

Then my watch ends and I go to bed at about 1:20ish. I get woken up by the breakfast bell at 7am and roll out of my bunk and I look over and there is a banner that says Happy Birthday Molly. Apparently my mom gave it to Audrey to hang up for me!!! At 4pm we had a Birthday party for Boat and I with Lemon Cloud cake and Coke!! In the Lab we did a 100 count and found 75 fish eggs and 2 pieces of plastic, and of course everyone’s fav Copepod’s!!

So that was my Birthday with and on the Boat!!!

PS – Hiii Mom Dad and Logan!!! I turned 17 today!! I have been having so much even thought I think it might be hotter than the Grand Canyon!! I’m on my 3^rd to last book which is really sad but that’s all right I can just get more for the plane! We have been seeing so many dolphins. I have so much to show you in my junk journal it is overflowing even more!!! I miss you all so much!! I cannot wait to see you on the 19^th!!!!!  Love you!!! P.S.S Tell Leila I miss her and that she was right about being tan!
