Party in the SEA (USA)

Saturday, 4 July 2026
SEA Campus, Falmouth Massachusetts
Today marks America’s 250th Birthday. Through hardship and perseverance, America has come to be one of the world’s primary producers of modern technology, medicine, and innovation. Today, we celebrated the birth of the United States. Kicking off the nationwide celebration, we ventured off with Ocean Studies to go watch the Falmouth 4th of July Parade. After the parade, we regrouped to return to the SEA campus. The early afternoon was spent enjoying games, including some fun with water on the campus lawn. After our antics, both programs convened and went to the nearby Racing Beach. From there we could contemplate the importance of Buzzards Bay, the connection of Cape Cod residents to the water, and chat about our experiences in this program.

For dinner, the PA’s grilled burgers, hotdogs, and laid out chips and watermelon for us all to eat for dinner–a very Independence Day menu! After showering and resting, we all once again left SEA campus to watch the fireworks shows from the beach. Seeing the splendid fireworks, and being amazed by the wonders of gunpowder, everyone returned to campus. Overall, today has been a prime day for resetting and getting to learn more about the culture surrounding Cape Cod and Falmouth.
