Today, we got to sleep in a bit, and woke up to the sweet smell of pancakes and bacon in the kitchen downstairs. After eating and getting ready for the day, we headed out in the vans to explore downtown Falmouth. It was such a nice town to walk around in, and we got to look around in stores. Some of us bought hoodies that said Cape Cod on them, and others got coffee from local coffee shops. At 12:30, our whole cabin met back up at the van to go back to campus. There, the group in charge of cooking that day prepared quesadillas for all of us, and we enjoyed a lunch of those along with an array of leftovers.

Our plan after lunch was to take the bikes to the path and bike to a beach where we could swim, but we soon realized that the pump that we had wasn’t working. We decided instead to simply take the van to The Knob, one of the many beaches in the area. We got to hang out on the sand and play good music, and some of us went searching for cool shells and rocks. We spent a couple of hours on the beach, and halfway through another cabin from the Pre-College program joined us. It’s a lot of fun getting to know the people from the other program in the time spent outside of class. After a while, we walked back to the van and got back to campus to prepare dinner. Tonight was grilled chicken and tofu, along with a chickpea salad. It was so delicious! Cleaning up is always fun because we get to blast music as we do the dishes.

The end to the night was pretty chaotic, as we had a bake-off with the other three cabins. Somehow, it ended up with all three cabins of kids coming into our living room and having a speaker-off (aka playing different songs on different speakers and trying to be louder than the other) It was a lot of fun to laugh with everyone. Around 10:30, we finally headed up to get ready for bed.
