From Ocean Chemistry to Marsh Discoveries

Testing for the pH in the water.

We started later than usual today, at 9:30, with an interesting class on chemical oceanography. We learned a lot about water and explored the different chemicals found in the ocean. We also dove deeper into how photosynthesis works underwater. Lunch was a tasty mix of salad and quesadillas. Afterward, we headed over to the marsh to research specific topics assigned to us. We discovered some amazing creatures and got to do some even cooler fieldwork. Tonight, we’re having pizza for dinner, made by our incredible stewards, and it tasted amazing.
