Sunday March 2, 2025

Log: 795.5nm

Weather: Sea calm, waves from SExE, Wind calm, SExW

Location: 38° 49.9’ S x 177° 59.5’E

Howdy folks and peeps

It’s time for some silliness

And some bad Haikus

Seen a cool few things

Biolum dolphins swimming

Man of war jellyfish

Some crazy Neustons

We even caught a big fish

Sung Hallelujah

Threw him back to sea

Caught some other fish and sung

Silver Springs Fleetwood

Never get away

From the sound of a woman

Singing to dead fish

I am not seasick

Thanking my lord and savior

Ms Gwen Stefani

Callouses on hand

Hauling on some crazy lines

Set sail all alone

Windy weather soon

Eamonn head to toe yellow

Tables stay gimbled

Learning so so much

Very needed change of pace

But home calls to me

Sitting on the floor

2 am in the dry lab

Please no more pH

It’s been two whole weeks

But somehow only two min

Close but very far

Wellington is near

Deeply excited for it

I miss my music

Nitrate sampling

Yay for going in small boat

Man I miss sleeping

Reading a bad book

Based around the song Brandy

But she’s not the sea

Cheers is a greeting

I have been using too much

New Zealand toodles

Some shoutouts I have:

It’s my grandmother’s birthday

Happy birthday grams!

My mom and my dad

Both of my brothers as well

I do miss you all

Not super duper

Sure who I gave this out to

But I miss you too
