Weather / Wind and Sail Plan: We are anchored with high winds
Description of where we are sailing: We are staying anchored in Provincetown, MA for the night up at 0400
For me the day started off at 11 as I had watch from 1900 to 0100 so I was catching up on some sleep While I was sleeping A watch was fighting some big waves that somehow didn’t faze my sleep at all. I woke up in time for B watch meeting were we went over how everything is going and how people are settling into the sea. After lunch B watch took over the boat. We were under motor making our way to anchored near Provincetown Ma. We anchored and a bit later we had a crazy encounter with a whale who did a lap around the boat about 5ft away. We had our boat meeting where we went over our plan to hide from bad conditions at sea. After the meeting we did a line chase which was a competition between watches to see who could find the line on the boat fastest. It ended in a heated argument as C and B watch ended seconds apart (B watch won). After we had dinner we saw the northern lights which was a massive surprise and was extremely beautiful.
