On Drinking Salt Water and Making New Friends

July 15, 2025
I am in awe every time I step foot in the water. I am in love with how it moves and the creatures that I am privileged enough to bear witness too.
Sharks Cove day 2; second time I really truly have been snorkeling, and I can confidently say I love everything about it, even when my mask floods and there’s salt in my eyes and my snorkel dips too far under and I end up drinking a mouth full of sea water.
It’s worth it to see schools of convict tangs, brightly colored parrot fish, and my favorite so far; the Moorish Idol. And not only that, but I am also lucky enough to have peers that are just as (if not sometimes more so) excited to be there and experience it all with me. I’ve known them for so little time and yet getting to know them is becoming one of the best parts of this program.
Speaking of; I’m going to sign off this post by wishing Hana a very very happy 20th! You are such a joy to be around and I really hope your day was just as sweet as you 😉
Besos,
