Ship’s Location

Hello Family, Friends, and Supporters! This is Craig Marin, the Atlantic Historian, kicking off our blog posts from the ship. We are currently secured to the dock here in Woods Hole, but our plan is to be underway by tomorrow afternoon.

Today involved a great deal of orientation, training, and general adjustment to all the spaces of the ship –our home for the next four weeks. Excitement levels are very high among both professional and student crew, and the eager learning will carry on over the next few days as we prepare for our voyage.

We would like to express our gratitude to all who have supported us, particularly Heidi and JB (so nice to see you both today!!), as we prepare for this next chapter in the Ocean Classroom experience. Stay tuned for updates from student crew and others over the next few weeks!

Fair winds!
