Position (Lat and Long): 42deg 46.9′ N x 069deg 17.2′
Log (nm): 181.9nm
Weather / Wind and Sail Plan: Sunny, good sailing breeze from the NW
Description of where we are sailing: South of Cashes Ledge
This morning we awoke to clear skies and perfect sailing conditions! We saw
a pod of dolphins heading east and that was a great start to the day. B
watch had the morning 0700-1300 shift, and were relieved by C watch at 1300.
At 1300 C watch did a number of things while on watch. We sifted through the
shipek grab, deployed the sechi disc, and saw many new organisms and
sediments. The seasickness has calmed down for everybody, so we are back to
a healthy crew! We decided today that we would give Harold and Aubie both
buzzcuts. So they are now bald and it was really fun for everybody involved.
While standing on lookout, we saw 2 Mola-mola’s and more dolphins! Also many
stray pieces of seaweed and sargassum. It was a beautiful clear sunset to
end the day and C watch was relieved by A watch ready to attack their night
shift. THANK YOU LILA FOR PHOTOS YAYYY
