Ahoy lads!
It’s your favorite sailors Zoey, Hailey, and Suzy reporting live from the C.C! Today is the last day of sailing with no land in sight. The valiant A watch faced the rage of Neptune as we sailed through rain and lightning on dawn watch (01:00-07:00). Thunderbolts and lightning were very very frightening as our 1st mate excitedly sang many a song like Bohemian Rhapsody and Shake it off. A watch successfully recovered from an existential crisis discussing the possibilities of the sun exploding and the world ending. We practiced our Sherm stance as we struggled to keep our balance on the slippery deck. Before watch at approximately 0 o clock in the morning we had our traditional coffee party with included refilling the coffee machine and tiptoeing around as to not wake others up. Maybe we tiptoed a little too well because a member of our watch was unable to fully wake up until 3 people teamed up. Teamwork really does make the dream work.
In our lab, our amazing science team analyzed data, learned about tides, and sheltered from the weather. Meanwhile on deck people’s hands looked like they had been doing dishes in the galley for hours. Bow watch is not an activity many A watchers enjoy.
Many A watchers recovered from the watch by sleeping and others prepared our deck report. Just as we were getting off watch the rain slowed and by class time the sun was shining. A watch really is a slay watch!
Until next time lads! We will see you over yonder!
